Rusty Hodge, Secret Agent Music Director
In addition to being the music director for Secret Agent, I am the founder of SomaFM. I program music for several SomaFM channels, including Groove Salad, Suburbs of Goa, Drone Zone, Space Station Soma and Digitalis.
The music I play on Secret Agent is eclectic but fits within the theme. It may be a cocktail hour love song from a romantic scene, or a fast song from a chase scene. It may be from the Sixties, Seventies or even Today. Spy movies come in many different forms, from many different periods. But they all have a certain something in common, and I try to play music that has that same thing in common: it's all music that would fit a scene in any spy film.
A lot of the records in my collection are now out of print and extremely hard to find, so I hope you don't get too annoyed that you can't easily find them online. Throughout my travels I always am looking for the obscure but awesome record store. I can't remember a trip where I didn't come back with at least 10 CDs. Last time I was in Italy I came back with over 50 awesome CDs, including many rare gems which are out of print. The music on them is awesome so I have to play them, forgive me if I cause you pain trying to track down your own copy!
