Earthquake in SF

The strongest earthquake in the last 10+ years has hit the San Francisco area. Merin was at OQO (her "day" job) in the Mission and it was really shaking there. Elise was at the store, and she said stuff was swinging and falling off the shelves. I have nothing to report as I'm in NYC (for some meetings with SoundExchange which I'll report on later).

For now, it seems there was no serious damage, but a lot of rattled nerves.

If you are in NYC, you should try to contact John Schaefer at WNYC, if he is back from Germany.

John has program called "Sound Check", which covers everything in music.

He did a show on internet radio, but it was a flop because his guest kept talking about terrestrial radio using the internet, like, how he could hear Cub games when away from Chicago.

You would be great on Sound Check and, even if you're back in S.F., they do remotes.

I was about 15-18 miles from the earthquake's epicenters. My house took a pretty good shaking. But all's well.

Keep up the great work at SomaFM.
