Royalty due date extended to July 15, 2007

The Copyright Royalty Board, that panel of three judges that determined the new rates, has announced that the first fees (for 2006 and the first part of 2007) are no longer due on May 15, but instead, 45 days after they were published in the Federal Register - so that means July 15th is now the due date. This extension comes via a loophole which they said their decision was not "final" until published in the Federal Register.
